Koreans eagerly long for a peaceful unification
At 11 in the morning of August 18, 1976, North Korean soldiers obstructed trimming of branches of a poplar tree between the guard posts by the United nations forces personnel to secure a range of vision. Capt, Arthur G, Bonifas(postmortem honored as Major) and Lieutenant mark Tl. Barrett were killed and four korean soldiers and as many US soldiers were wounded.
